Mowaii awarded at First International Wine Label Design Contest

At the First International Wine Label Design Competition, Mowaii Creative Agency of Germany received the Silver Award for the label Abdon #1, 2007, designed by David Grasekamp and Helga Mols. 

A panel of international judges chose the winner in the category ‘Dramatic Graphics’ for the extraordinary design, which is unique in the winery world.  

The roster of international judges includes Paul Wagner, co-author of Wine Marketing & Sales and wine marketing instructor at Napa Valley College. ‘There is no question that labels play a critical role in wine marketing, and this competition brings attention to those who are really good at it. The winning labels were fun, dramatic, creative, and most of all, effective,’ he said. 

Entries were judged on the following criteria: overall originality and creativity, use of typography and use of graphics. Mowaii was the only European design agency to win an award.
