New company formed as MAP80 goes into administration

A new company, MAPCIS Limited (Manufacturing and Process Coding and Identification Solutions), has been formed from the old MAP80 and MAP80 East businesses, which recently went into administration.
MAPCIS will trade as two divisions, MAPCIS Software and Services formerly the MAP80 Systems business and MAPCIS Labelling formerly the MAP80 East business. Both MAP80 Systems Limited and MAP80 East Limited have gone into administration.
Mick Daw - MAPCIS Chief Executive is very positive about the future of MAPCIS and says ‘The management team, most having joined during the previous two years, formed MAPCIS which has purchased the assets and business of the old MAP80 companies.  Both had strong brands and developed a reputation for quality systems and service worldwide.  MAPCIS is not laden with a massive debt burden so our talented team can really move the business forward from this solid base through the combination of, customer focus, hard work and reinvestment in the Company as we continue to enhance our range of products and service offerings.  This will be to the benefit of customers, staff and suppliers alike.’
Daw added ‘Whilst we are very excited by the formation of MAPCIS, the demise of the old companies was a massive disappointment to everyone. ‘The company will continue to supply and support previous customers of MAP80 and will continue to build on the services and products originally developed by MAP80.
