Atlas to debut Titan SR800 duplex slitter rewinder

The new 1,650mm-wide (65in) SR800 slitter will be demonstrated twice daily at the exhibition processing 30-micron plain BOPP plastic film supplied by Poligal Group, which has production plants in Narón, Spain and Arcos de Valdevez in Portugal.

The Titan SR800 features the latest mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic and computer control technology to assure converters of consistent, high quality rewind reels with improved levels of sustainability, productivity and easy job repeatability, Atlas said.

It can process a wide range of flexible materials including plain, coated, printed or metallized plastic films, laminates and label materials ranging from 20-200 microns and paper from 40-200gsm. 

It has a maximum production speed of 700m/min (2,300ft/min), with rewind diameters up to 800mm (32in) and slit widths as narrow as 20mm (0.8in).

The modular Titan SR800 duplex slitter rewinder can be supplied with automation options including automatic knife and laser core positioning systems. and fully automatic slit reel unloading. 

 A version is also available with a 1,350mm (54in) web width.
