Avery Dennison doubles ThinkThin portfolio

Avery Dennison Label and Packaging Materials has introduced seven new products to its ThinkThin portfolio in a move to retain shelf impact while making premium food labels more sustainable through thinner label material constructions.

The ThinkThin range has been extended with seven new products

The ThinkThin range features thinner facestocks and liners across the entire portfolio of film and paper products.

The extended product line now includes the PE LG Top and the thinner PP40 Top films, both with top coating and available in clear and white.

ThinkThin film substrates also feature Avery Dennison’s S7000 adhesive, which enables high-speed production and offers both water-whitening resistance and reduced adhesive bleed.

ThinkThin paper-based products are all FSC-certified and can be used in a wider variety of substrates, whether in food labeling or in other applications such as home and personal care. The MC70 paper facestock is lighter than the conventional MC Primecoat alternative, and is now available with new adhesive options that allow ThinkThin paper materials to be used in applications from the cool room through to high-speed room temperature labeling. New thermal labeling products include Thermal Thin 200LD, which is now available with S2000N permanent emulsion adhesive.

Jan 't Hart, product line director at Avery Dennison Label and Packaging Materials, said: ‘This expanded ThinkThin portfolio has been designed with real-world needs of label converters and brand owners in mind.

‘Better sustainability credentials are the foundation of the ThinkThin initiative, but our priority remains that of giving customers materials that look great and perform better than ever. “Green” does not have to mean second best if the technology is right.’
