Avery Dennison enhances Fasson Durable portfolio

The Fasson Roll North America division of Avery Dennison Corporation has expanded its Fasson Durable portfolio with four new polyimide films. Converters now have access to more pressure-sensitive constructions designed for total life-cycle durability and readability in a variety of calipers and finishes for their printed circuit board (PCB) manufacturing processes and end-use applications.

The new 1 & 2 mil Gloss and Matte White constructions are manufactured with a durable high temperature-resistant facestock and adhesive specifically engineered for ultra-high temperature and lead-free soldering applications – enduring temperatures as high as 536 degrees F. These UL-recognized polyimide products offer high opacity, excellent tear strength and high dimensional stability, along with good chemical resistance, claims the company. The entire offering of Fasson Polyimide products are matched with a topcoat finish offering resistance to chemicals, scuffs/scratches and UV radiation exposure, and are optimized for thermal transfer, laser, flexo and impact printing technologies.  The standard portfolio is linked to unique service programs allowing for low minimum order quantities and narrow custom slitting.
