Avery Dennison launches facestock for ‘no label look’

Avery Dennison has launched a new mid-range self-adhesive film labelstock to meet the growing demand for the ‘no label look’ on bottles and other containers for wine, spirits, beer and home and personal care products.Fasson PP60 Top Clear Film brings the ‘no label look’ within reach of a whole new brand owner audience, and also opens up the possibility for current ‘no label look’ users to reduce their label costs.
Joanna Wolska-Kinneging, senior product manager, Films, Avery Dennison Label and Packaging Materials Europe says, ‘Our research showed that the majority of ‘no-label look’ applications do not require all the features of our premium films. We therefore developed Fasson PP60 Top Clear Film with a price positioning and quality which will convince more brands to make the switch to the ‘no label look’. We expect this will not only help label printers to acquire additional business, but also help brand owners to switch to a more cost-effective label solution.’
The caliper is the same as that of the existing Fasson PP Top Clear qualities, so a switch to the new lower-priced product does not involve the need to change diecutting tools. Crisp, clean diecutting and robust printability and press stability are additional features.
Fasson PP60 Top Clear film is a ‘workhorse’ product suitable for most non-critical applications, and is offered with a choice of adhesive and release liner – Fasson S4000 and a clear film liner, Fasson PET30; or Fasson S692, with BG40 White glassine release liner.
The premium Fasson PP Top Clear labelstock continues to be available to meet the needs of those difficult applications that require the highest label dispensing performance and best shelf appeal.
