Cartes to launch new machine at Labelexpo Europe

2007 has been an important year for Cartes due to the launch of two new versions of its best-selling machines, says the company.
The HS 200, which will be unveiled at Labelexpo 2007, is a new low budget label printing and die-cutting machine with the possibility to integrate silk screen, hot stamping, and laser die-cutting, to enable the production of a complete label from label stock to finished article.
The Laser 350C combines the Cartes laser cutting system with the practicality and compactness of an integrated unwinder and rewinder. This machine can cut, die-cut, engrave and micro-perforate any label shape.
According to the production needs, label manufacturers can choose between the original version with in line unwinder and rewinder or the new all-in-one version.
2007 has also been a significant year for the cooperation between Femaprint N.V., one of the most important Belgian label producers, and Cartes. Femaprint N.V., bought the first Cartes Single Laser 350 machine in 2001, and has now seized on the potential of the new Dual Laser 350 to upgrade its equipment.
Mr Marc Feys, Femaprint ‘s chairman, is reportedly pleased with the production possibilities of the Cartes Dual Laser 350 not only for gaining speed and saving money, but also because he has experienced the major technological improvements in the Cartes machinery which has made the Femaprint job easier, faster and extremely precise, according to a statement.
