Colordyne Technologies introduces Memjet-driven Mini Press

Colordyne Technologies has launched the 2600 Series Mini Press as part of a new Commercial Class line of products to bridge the gap between Colordyne's 1600 Series Industrial Class products and the 3600 Series Production Class products to create a full portfolio of digital color printing equipment powered by Memjet technology.

Colordyne Technologies has launched the 2600 Series Mini Press with Memjet printheads

The 2600 Series Mini Press is targeted at label converters and brand owners who are looking for an out-of-the-box roll-to-roll digital printing system to handle the ever-growing consumer demand for short run digital labels.

The 2600 Series Mini Press makes use of a single Memjet printhead capable of printing at 60ft/min (18m/min) at 1,600 x 1,600 dpi. The single printhead platform includes self-predicative printhead maintenance, decreasing operator intervention and increased up-time. A dually-supported frame with the capacity to handle 24in (600mm) outside diameter rolls and a servo driven web handling system allows users to produce longer run lengths than what’s typically thought possible on a press of this size, Colordyne said.

Further, the 2600 Series Mini Press makes use of a Harlequin RIP, incorporates a 15in touch screen and software for smooth workflow for variable data applications. Colordyne has partnered with off-line finishing technology specialists to provide users with equipment that meets their application needs.

Taylor Buckthorpe, Colordyne director of marketing, said: ‘Colordyne's position as the leading provider of Memjet technology continues to strengthen with the addition of the 2600 Series Mini Press. We now offer three distinct product classes that are designed to provide users with a fitted solution for their digital color printing needs.

‘Leveraging Memjet technology makes a huge difference in being able to offer our customers the ability to produce the highest resolution labels on the market today.’
