Integraflex has been designed for hassle-free on-the-go eating and to deliver a user-friendly compact pack that is easy to open and reseal.

Able to stand on its own for easy preparation and filling, Integraflex can be used to pack multiple foodstuffs, from hot fries and sandwiches, to muesli. A premium quality printing surface allows both flexible and rigid pack elements to be branded with high-resolution graphics for customization. GPI said consumers benefit from its ‘excellent’ food protection and construction, such as the flexible component’s ability to transform into a placemat. The choice of material for its flexible element includes microwavable and ovenable films. The cartonboard element of Integraflex can be laminated or coated to suit various applications.

A variety of shapes and opening features are available.

Rakhee Karia, European marketing manager at GPI, said: ‘It is as valuable for the environment as it is for retailers and consumers, with its renewable, recyclable materials improving the sustainability credentials of single-use packaging. It can also be made to size to keep material usage and costs to a minimum, allowing retailers to reduce their carbon footprint.’

Integraflex is to be introduced at next month’s Packaging Innovations show in the UK, where GPI will also present its award-winning FruitPack range of eco-friendly fresh produce packaging options. Intended as a sustainable alternative to plastics, FruitPack includes a variety of shelf-ready, mono-material cartons which can be fully branded.
