Grafisk Maskinfabrik launches versatile converting line

Posted in New Products on May 16, 2011

Grafisk Maskinfabrik (GM) has launched a semi-rotary converting line for labels. The line consists of varnish, laminating, coldfoil, hotfoil and die-cutting, with optional screen, embossing and laser modules also available.

The line is built to run inline or offline as standard, with no extra modules needed. The web direction can be both from right to left and left to right as all stations are designed to be mounted in two ways with mirrored mounting holes.

‘The DC 500 converting line’s distinctive feature is that it runs web widths ranging from 515mm all the way down to 100mm,’ said  Uffe Nielsen, director, GM. ‘All it takes is an easy change of roll and you’ll be running almost any finishing job.

‘At GM, the converting lines are built to last and many of them have run for many years. Some are resold as refurbished after having served their purpose. With a simple replacement of wear parts and software upgrades and they’re as good as new.

‘So when a customer invests in a new line we really have to anticipate their needs far into the future. As their print-jobs change the finishing line shouldn’t have to.

‘With the DC 500 modular set-up it’s easy to add new sections and with the huge flexibility on web sizes it’s ready for anything you throw at it.
