Hapa adds two models to inkjet range

Swiss-based Hapa has introduced two new drop-on-demand (DoD) piezo inkjet products, MedJet 470 amd BlisterJet CMYK, suited for late-stage pharmaceutical package printing.

MedJet 470 is print unit designed to integrate onto continuous or intermittent motion packaging machines

The compact MedJet 470 is print unit designed to integrate onto continuous or intermittent motion packaging machines. MedJet 470 is suitable for printing onto a wide range of substrates, including aluminum foil, paper-backed foil, PVC, medical paper and Tyvek. The system is targeted at the production of blisters, deep-draw blisters, trays, and pouches, and the single-color UV DoD piezo inkjet machine has been designed with the medical packaging industry in mind. It uses solvent-free UV curing inks from Hapa’s Ink division. Customer-specific low-migration ink is formulated by Hapa Ink to suit substrate, application and production risk-levels. The company can also offer a complete service to ensure compliance and security.

BlisterJet CMYK is intended for printing text and graphics in four spot colors or CMYK process images. The product is an addition to the existing BlisterJet product, suitable for 2-color printing.
