Impika to launch digital press range at drupa

Impika will showcase the last generation of its digital presses, the iPress 663.
‘We have the pleasure to exhibit the printing difference of the iPress 600 range. These presses can work out multiple performances to meet the requirements of the industrial markets of label, packaging, “transpromotional” and book printing,’ explained Paul Morgavi, CEO of Impika.
The iPress 600 range integrates Panasonic printheads based on DOD piezo electric inkjet technology. They print in monochrome, spot color, quadrichromic and hexachromic with a high resolution of 600x600dpi. The various substrates rolls (paper, plastic film etc) run from 75 to 150m/mn on a printing width of 474mm. The water-based inks increase the profitability of the presses together with a relevant ecological aspect.
The iPress 600 range offers a large series of options such as turn bar, dedicated workflow for label applications, IPDS controller managing variable data for ‘transpromotional’ applications. Additional finishing units (varnishing, die cutting, slitting and rewinding) are also available for customers requiring a complete turnkey solution.
Impika exhibits also on its booth the last generation of its full color digital printing engine C9000 from its iEngine 900 range. This printing engine, also based on piezo electric DOD inkjet technology, integrates Xaar printheads.
