Kama has introduced a new generation of its ProCut 58 compact die-cutting unit

ProCut 58 is the world’s first die-cutting unit for digitally printed sheets in the quarter-size format, either for conventional or cut to size, according to Kama. As well as the increase in format size by 50mm, ProCut 58 is now available with a Heidelberg sheet feeder, an intuitive touchscreen user interface and new software.

The new feeder optimizes the paper feed, while the redesigned software speeds up the adjustment of AutoRegister, which aligns every sheet with a high degree of precision. The use of pictograms and a clear layout of the new interface make all the functions and features intuitively accessible and language independent. The upgraded ProCut 58 Foil variant offers hot foil stamping, hologram stamping, and a module for hot cutting and creasing of plastic materials.

Kama said the relaunch of ProCut 58 is taking place at the right time with the demand for finished short runs, both for small format printing jobs and folding boxes, growing, and are increasingly printed digitally.

Kama has already delivered the first of the new generation ProCut 58 to a company in Belgium that produces labels and folding boxes for the pharmaceutical and cosmetic markets.

In Germany, Austria and Switzerland, the Kama ProCut 58 and the ProCut 76 for the half-size format, are available through Heidelberg, both with and without the hot foil stamping module.
