KBA-MePrint launches Inprint

KBA-MePrint has launched Inprint, a single-color UV flexo printing unit for high-quality continuous or intermittent printing on aluminum, plastic and paper packaging films.

Inprint can be installed on almost all packaging lines, and has a maximum press speed of 20m/min, with higher speeds available on request

Inprint can be installed on almost all packaging lines, and has a maximum press speed of 20m/min, with higher speeds available on request. Two versions of the unit are available, with the Inprint 210 having a maximum printing width of 210mm and the Inprint 310 having a maximum printing width of 310mm.

An air-cooled UV dryer actions fast drying and curing of inks, while an LED curing system can also be installed.

The modular design of Inprint means up to four units can be installed for multi-color applications, while a register control system allows for exact printing on pre-printed film. Substrates that Inprint can print on include aluminum, PVC, PE, PP, OPP, vinyl, paper, Tyvek, composite materials and commercially available packaging films, with a thickness range of 15-50 microns (additional substrate thickness are availble upon request).

KBA-MePrint said this means Inprint offers an option for those looking to print various information on flexible packaging and blister packs, including expiration dates, traceability and authentication information, which it said is a particular requirement of the pharmaceutical industry, as well as for other packaging types and segments.

KBA-MePrint will be showing Inprint at next month’s Achema trade fair for chemical engineering and the process industry.

KBA-MePrint recently introduced the modular Varius LX-TX narrow web offset press to target opportunities in printing and finishing, along with economic advantages, of small to medium runs.
