Label Traxx to launch latest MIS update at Labelexpo Europe 2015

Label Traxx MIS is to introduce version 7.2 of its management information system (MIS) software at Labelexpo Europe 2015, which features the ability to estimate and order magnetic tools electronically with RotoMetrics, enhanced ink pricing for the HP Indigo WS6800 and white plus inks to handle ‘can’ charges, and in-line priming quotations.

Version 7.2 can pass customized digital lead-in and lead-out data to Esko’s Automation Engine, which can be automatically printed at the beginning and end of a run

Label Traxx MIS is a modular system that includes: estimating for flexo, digital, letterpress and hot foil label presses; contact and customer relationship management; job status tracking and visual scheduling; data collection and profitability analysis tools; a roll tracking system for raw material inventory; purchasing tools specific to label operations; integrated financial modules operating in real time; JDF connectivity to Esko Automation Engine; and electronic links to label industry suppliers to automate purchasing and inventory management.

Version 7.2 can pass customized digital lead-in and lead-out data to Esko’s Automation Engine, which can be automatically printed at the beginning and end of a run to simplify the job of the finishing department. A further development is the ability to monitor a folder on a company’s network and when a file is dropped into that folder it will load automatically into the Label Traxx MIS software, meaning artwork files can be dropped into the product image, approved proofs could be dropped into the job ticket or die lines dropped into the tooling record.

‘This is an exciting release for Label Traxx,’ said company president Ken Meinhardt. ‘We have developed some great new features with our strategic partners RotoMetrics, HP Indigo and Esko, which build on our goal to streamline our mutual customers’ operations as far as possible.’

Integrated functionality for the ordering of magnetic tools from RotoMetrics electronically means converters can get instant estimates on flexible and solid dies to support fast response to their own customers, and streamline their planning and production processes.

Molly Moroni, director of sales in the Americas at RotoMetrics, added: ‘Our goal is to help converters streamline the order process, and working with Label Traxx is a great way to accomplish that. Both our companies are committed to investing in automation based on direct feedback from our customers. Label Traxx already works with converters in the US, Canada, UK, Europe and Australia and, like RotoMetrics, is expanding its support for Latin American converters.’
