Lucid Dream Software has launched a new online PDF editor, preflight, and layout tool.

ArtAffirm allows users to create a print ready PDF from all common formats including PDF, EPS, and image formats. Online editing tools include resizing, rotating, positioning, and layering. A range of print products, from stamp size to full press sheets as well as single sided business cards and multi-page photo books, can all be assembled using ArtAffirm.

‘Our research shows printing companies are spending thousands of dollars every month simply touching client files,’ said CEO David Lewis. ‘ArtAffirm can very substantially reduce these costs! Embedded in the browser, ArtAffirm is a rich internet application developed using HTML5 and Javascript to run in all popular browsers on the desktop and as a web app for the iPad.   Lewis added, ‘We have one of the best web development teams in this industry. Developed using such technologies as Ruby on Rails, Cappuccino, C++, and AMQP; we have invested more than 10 man years into this project.’

ArtAffirm is available for OEM license as a web framework for prepress systems, to integrate with web2print and print store front options and is also available pre-integrated with Lucid’s own TribalSketch online print store front.
