NewPage launches lightweight label paper

NewPage has added Ecopoint 40 Ib to its range. The lighter weight beverage label paper enables printers to supply more labels per shipment to bottling operations, reducing shipment frequency and storage of finished goods. More labels can be stocked in labeling equipment, meaning longer continuous bottling runs with fewer changeover and increased bottling line productivity.

‘Global beverage brands are seeking new solutions to reduce label material consumption, without compromising on stringent quality and bottling performance standards,’ said Ed Buehler, general manager for specialty papers. ‘EcoPoint 40 lb is an ideal choice, combining the environmental advantages of source reduction with the day-to-day performance our customers trust from our EcoPoint family of label papers.’

EcoPoint is available with third-party chain-of-custody certifications to the Forest Stewardship Council.
