Non-stop matrix rewind unit from Rotocolor

Labels and Labeling thumbnail

Rotocolor has launched the GWA-2 matrix rewind unit – which the company says ‘makes it possible to achieve considerable savings when producing labels’. Production costs are said to be reduced by the reduction of machine downtimes.

The matrix rewind unit enables an easy handling of the matrix reels and facilitates the work of the printer. Matrix reels are changed automatically when the maximum diameter of 450mm has been reached. The change can also be made manually at any time. The specially coated contact rollers and the adjustable tensioning of rewinding ensure the correct rolling up of the matrix. This is achieved by means of a dancing roll controlled draw group.

Both adhesive materials made of plastic or paper can be rewinded. Latest technologies are used for rewinding the matrix: wear-free hysteresis couplings and a sturdy drive with toothed belt for long life.
