Ritrama introduces self-wound thermal paper

Ritrama has introduced direct thermal linerless (DTL) to its roll label product portfolio, a self-wound thermal paper said to offer ‘revolutionary properties’, combined with cost-effectiveness.

DTL is suitable for use in retail price labeling, food weight scale labeling, warehousing and logistics labeling and mobile printing applications

Ritrama detailed the benefits of DTL as: increased reel length, with up to 40 percent more labels per roll; improved efficiency due to a reduction in machine downtime; a proven construction, with tested compatibility between adhesive and silicone ensuring smooth unwinding and the highest printing quality (barcode readability); adhesive that offers excellent adhesion to most known surfaces; adhesive coating technology, which guarantees adhesive bleed free for easy handling and avoids label’s edge lifting; consecutive printing of variable length labels; no liner, meaning no waste and disposal costs; and a reduction in the solid waste stream.
