UPM Raflatac launches labelstock for shipping and logistics

UPM Raflatac EMEIA has launched Vellum Logistics Fit, a next-generation logistics labelstock designed to answer industry demands for a more productive, competitive and sustainable product.

Vellum Logistics Fit sees thin label face paired with HG45 release liner

The thin Vellum Logistics Fit label face has been matched with the HG45 release liner to provide more labels per same-diameter roll and the potential to upgrade to longer rolls. The result is fewer roll changes in label conversion and dispensing operations, resulting in a marked increase in productivity according to UPM Raflatac.

Characteristics of the label face and liner include strength for reliable conversion and a well-defined thermal transfer print result for reliable scanning.

Further, Vellum Logistics Fit features the RH 6 adhesive, which has performance characteristics suited to conditions from chilled to room temperature environments, and on substrates including cardboard and stretch film.

Jon Lenck, director of the VIP & Prime business segment at UPM Raflatac EMEIA, said: ‘The products in our next-generation Fit range introduce more productive, competitive and environmentally responsible solutions in their intended applications.

‘Vellum Logistics Fit is engineered using the latest material and technological developments to be precisely fit for purpose. Label printers and end users in logistics and shipping can look forward to a balance of performance and efficiency optimized for today’s business and sustainability needs.’
