UPM Raflatac launches Raflex MDO

UPM Raflatac has introduced Raflex MDO, extending its range of conformable films.

UPM Raflatac said Raflex MDO films balance the performance properties of PP and PE for maximum functionality and shelf appeal

Raflex MDO are machine direction oriented (MDO) polyolefin films offering conformability and squeezability on contoured containers, while preserving the stiffness of a standard gauge clear polypropylene for consistent application and converting. They are said to be suitable for thicker width bottles that present twice the amount of curve, when compared to flat panel wall-to-wall squeezable containers, and those that require a full squeeze at the bottom of the bottle. Raflex MDO films are available in both clear (removed clear-on-clear) and white with RP74 adhesive, and both paper and film liners.

UPM Raflatac said Raflex MDO films balance the performance properties of PP and PE for maximum functionality and shelf appeal, and are the ‘perfect addition’ to the company's existing range of high-performance conformable films.

Bruce Ruppert, manager, product development, Americas, UPM Raflatac, said: ‘Our new Raflex MDO films offer exceptional on-press performance with enhanced conformability.

‘Squeeze after squeeze, these clear and white materials are a perfect fit for keeping your branding intact throughout the product lifecycle.’
