UPM Raflatac places focus on sustainability at Labelexpo Europe 2017

At Labelexpo Europe 2017, UPM Raflatac is placing a focus on sustainable labeling options, including the launch of the RafNXT+ product range and a sustainable alternative to standard PE film.

RafBio PE85 contains more than 80 percent renewable plant-based raw material

The RafNXT+ product range marks the launch of a unique forest positive approach for sustainable labeling. Together with optimized raw material efficiencies, RafNXT+ creates labeling options that are claimed to deliver sustainability credentials ‘that go way beyond the industry standard’.

RafBio PE85, a sustainable alternative to standard PE film, is also launched. RafBio PE85 contains more than 80 percent renewable plant-based raw material. It is made of sugarcane ethanol and performs just like standard PE film. It is suited for home and personal care applications, and has excellent flexibility for squeezable packaging and contoured containers.

The established RafCycle recycling concept is presented to show a circular economy in action.

To highlight recent functional innovations by UPM Raflatac, the new RPMD adhesive range for the medical device and healthcare industries, and RafMore smart label development are shown.
