New sample swatch book for label papers from Stora Enso

The choice of suitable label papers is increasingly important. The label is the ambassador for a brand at the point of sale, and therefore has to be capable of fully conveying every detail of the product strategy.

In order to facilitate this important result, and to address the ever more demanding tasks facing those involved in the design, production or use of labels, leading manufacturer of label papers, Stora Enso, has recently issued a new sample swatch book for use with high-class drinks and food products.

The new Label Papers Premium sample swatch book is a tool intended to simplify the selection and decision-making process for packaging designers, advertising agencies, label printers and the producers of wine, sparkling wine, spirits and food delicacies in a variety of ways.

Stora Enso Label Papers is introducing a new segmentation approach: The paper grades presented in the Label Papers Premium sample swatch book are particularly well suited for wine, sparkling wine, champagne, spirits and food delicacies. Label papers that fulfill the special demands of the beer, mineral water, soft drinks and food segments will be shown in the new book, which will be available at the end of 2006.

The ‘Design Options’ section of the new Label Papers Premium sample swatch book contains original samples of Stora Enso’s VivaSet, MatisSet, ArtiSet and SuperCote WS label papers, each with up to six different embossing patterns.

With printed and high-quality finished label samples, Stora Enso demonstrates the differentiation possibilities that are attainable simply by using different paper surface structures to achieve unique and appealing optical effects at the point of sale.

The ‘Properties’ section contains original samples of the various grammages both for the machine coated and the cast coated label paper grades from Stora Enso. This also includes comprehensive information about paper characteristics and recommended applications.
