CCL promotes Guenther Birkner

Birkner joined CCL after its founding investment in the food and beverage market with Austria’s Pachem in 2003. He has most recently served as president of the Food & Beverage business of CCL, a role he will combine with his new responsibilities.

In addition to the promotion of Birkner, Peter Fleissner has been appointed as president of CCL Design, reflecting the growing importance of this new sector to CCL, especially following the acquisitions of Worldmark, Woelco and Zephyr. Fleissner joined CCL with the acquisition of CD Design in 2008.

Both executives will continue to report to Geoffrey T. Martin, CCL president and CEO, who commented: ‘Guenther and Peter are deeply experienced industry leaders who have overseen dramatic expansions in their businesses during their CCL careers.
