The European Digital Press Association has appointed Rudolf Messer as the new EDP president. Messer is a founding member of the board of the EDP and founder and publisher of several trade magazines in Austria, South East Europe and Asia.

‘As a founding member of the EDP I am honored and delighted to be voted in as the next president of the EDP,’ Messer commented. ‘Since its inception six years ago, the EDP has researched and championed the most innovative products in Europe on behalf of our readership in the digital print, imaging and finishing markets.

‘Together we are a strong, influential organization, representing over one million readers and buyers of digital print related equipment across Europe and we take this position very seriously. Each year our independent technical committee comes together to debate and nominate the most innovative products launched that year, which then has to be ratified by all member countries, giving buyers peace of mind in their purchase. We will continue to grow our publication membership across Europe to become even stronger and even more representative in the years ahead.’

The EDP has also just approved the membership three new print trade publications in Scandinavia: Grafiskt Forum AGI Magazine, Sweden; AGI Magazine, Denmark; and AGI Magazine, Norway; adding a further 30,000 readers to the group.
