RotoMetrics has made two appointments as it moves to re-affirms its position in the global precision rotary tooling market.

Karen Moreland (pictured, top) has been appointed to the newly created role of vice president of global marketing and business development.

Molly Moroni joins RotoMetrics as sales director for the US and Canada. She will take up the newly created position on August 27.

Reporting to Robert Spiller, RotoMetrics’ president and chief executive officer, Moreland will be responsible for supporting strategic new business development initiatives; global product management; developing multi-national customer and OEM opportunities, and coordinating regional marketing activities.

This move will support RotoMetrics' evolution towards regional business accountability while leveraging its global scale.

She joined RotoMetrics in 1989 and has held prior roles as vice president of international operations and vice president of sales for the Americas, leading critical initiatives to grow the company’s business by improving and expanding its geographical sales presence, manufacturing operations and product offerings on a global scale.

In 2010, Moreland supported the establishment of the company's first Asian manufacturing operation in Thailand.

Spiller said: ‘Throughout her career, Karen has developed critical client, OEM and industry knowledge, contributing to the company's success.

‘She has also worked closely with product development, positioning RotoMetrics as a major player in the evolving flexible die and specialty converting markets.’

Molly Moroni
Moroni will also report to Spiller, and will be responsible for leading the company’s sales initiatives throughout the US and Canada.

She joins RotoMetrics with a depth of experience in the tag and label industry and in sales leadership. Most recently, she served as general manager for Checkpoint Systems, Apparel Labeling Solutions.

Moroni started with Checkpoint as sales director for the labeling unit and grew the business from US$12 million to over UA$60 million in sales.

Prior to this role, she worked in a variety of sales, marketing, and business development leadership roles with Zebra Technologies and Monarch Marking Systems/Paxar.

Moreland and Moroni will start work at the company’s Eureka, Missouri headquarters.

RotoMetrics said the appointments re-affirm the company’s commitment to continuing its leadership position in the global precision rotary tooling markets.
