Prisym and Honeywell announce partnership for medical supplies manufacturing

Labeling and auto-identification specialist Prisym and Honeywell – a global automation and control solutions provider – have signed a partnership agreement to provide a complete solution, which combines compliant labeling capabilities within production management software, for manufacturers in the life sciences industry. The agreement brings together the Prisym team’s 20 years experience in validated and FDA compliant labeling systems and Honeywell’s expertise in MES and automation solutions for life sciences manufacturing.   

The agreement means the company’s Prisym Medica software will now be offered as a module option or upgrade to the Honeywell POMSnet MES application for clinical supplies manufacturing. Prisym Medica label design and production software, which is specially developed to meet the FDA’s 21 CFR Part 11 regulations, will compliment Honeywell’s product portfolio to provide a seamless solution for customers.

By pulling together their knowledge and experience in their respective fields, both parties believe they can offer an efficient and worry-free complete FDA compliant solution to the life sciences industry.

Prisym Medica uses high levels of security and data encryption to ensure systems integrity and regulatory compliance at all times. It is able to record critical activities and electronically links them to individual users, along with time and date stamping.

Prisym Medica provides a totally secure environment for label design, approval, automatic gathering of variable data and label printing. It is developed, tested and documented in accordance with strict FDA and GAMP (Good Automated Manufacturing Practice) guidelines and supplied with full life cycle documentation. An additional module is also available from Prisym for managing and labeling clinical trials.
