Xeikon realized impressive sales results, surpassing its goals during the four days of Labelexpo Europe. This includes the sale to customers buying an additional to their existing Xeikon label presses; S. Lerner from Israel; JoDi Etiketter Ab from Sweden and X-label GmbH from Germany to name a few.

Siegfried Trinker, chief sales officer, commented: ‘The market for digital label printing is growing rapidly and customers appreciate the variety of pre- and postpress solutions we can offer. When customers choose for an additional Xeikon, it confirms that they appreciate the quality and outstanding performance of our solutions and the first class service we offer to them.’

Xeikon illustrated the flexibility of Xeikon label solutions through the idea of a virtual soup factory (www.mysoupfactory.com). Visitors could register on the Xeikon booth, have their picture taken and make a selection from different soup labels.  The complete workflow and production of the soup factory could be witnessed by the visitors who were invited to pick up their unique printed labels right at the Xeikon booth showing Just-In-Time production and a true example of the quick turnaround that digital printing can offer.

During the show the Xeikon 330 with the inline D-coat converting unit and hot-foil finishing printed more than 20,000m of label material on four different and conventional substrates (paper, PP white, metallized paper and co-extruded film), including 350 different jobs of personalized labels, created on the show from data of the visitors. Overwhelming response was received by the audience of the labels printed on the SilverVac from Raflatac as well as the labels printed on transparent Global co-ex from Fasson.

Gert Saey, VP marketing added: ‘Our presses are true production devices by maintaining productivity regardless how many colors printed. The Xeikon 330 is the fastest five color digital label press available on the market with 50 percent more production capacity than the competition.’

Overall, 2007 shows a highly increased sales activity of the Xeikon 330. Siegfried Trinker commented: ‘Due to our increased focus on the label industry, installations of the Xeikon 330 in 2007 so far already doubled the installations in 2006.  The Xeikon 330 is a top product and we are committed to play a leading role in the label industry by continuous innovation and first class customer care.’
