Sentez Packaging Group invests in Heidelberg large format press

- XL162 six-color press due for installation early in 2013

 

- Test printing at Heidelberg allowed it to confirm print stability, speed, quality, cost efficiency and make-ready times

  

Turkey's first large format Speedmaster is destined for the Sentez Packaging Group, a Selcuklu Holding affiliate based in Istanbul.  

 

The XL162 six-color press with coating unit, raised feeder and delivery, and logistics is due for installation early in 2013 when the company and its workforce of 450 will move into a new 50,000 sq m building to centralize its print production. 

The company’s decision to invest in a large format Speedmaster was made after test printing its own jobs at Heidelberg. This allowed it to confirm the print stability, speed, quality, cost efficiency and make-ready times that are key elements in its plan for growth.

Sentez owner and managing director Süleyman Öncel (pictured, top) said: ‘We have a close working relationship with Heidelberg in Turkey, and feel confident of the local service team.  

 

‘We chose the Speedmaster to help us grow our exports and meet customer requirements, and we see Heidelberg as a partner for long-term sustainable production.’

Sentez currently operates three production sites in Istanbul, with sheet-fed offset, flexo and rotogravure capability for printing high-quality folding cartons for customers in the pharmaceutical and kitchenware sectors. The group also supplies printed packaging to the food, cosmetics, glass, textile, shoes and automotive industries.
