Amcor launches new flexible packaging product

Amcor Flexibles has launched Packpyrus, a thermoformable cellulose-based packaging product for the fresh market.

 

Packpyrus is available in three versions, Packpyrus Flexible for vacuum pack base webs, as well as Packpyrus Semi-Rigid and Packpyrus Rigid for modified atmosphere base webs.

 

Amcor said the Packpyrus Flexible and Packpyrus Rigid products offer improvements in lifecycle performance, with their lightness, use of renewable fibers and optimized manufacturing processes reducing the cradle-to-gate carbon footprint by around 70 percent and 60 percent respectively.

 

Amcor added that Packpyrus contributes to its excellence in sustainability program.
