Avery Dennison showcases new launches at Labelexpo Europe 2025

The company advances recycling, connectivity and safety with the new launches.

Avery Dennison is launching a series of product innovations at Labelexpo 2025, booth 3E61 in Barcelona.

At the show, Avery Dennison is spotlighting its expanded AD CleanGlass wash-off portfolio with its recently launched white film option. Developed in response to growing demand for reusable glass packaging and meeting brand sustainability targets, the white film joins the well-established clear version. Both options allow easy and clean label removal from glass bottles in a conventional bottle washer at 80 degrees Celsius, optimizing the environmental benefits of reusable glass.

The company is showcasing AD CleanFiber, the first range of Ingede12-certified paper labels with newly developed adhesive technology that cleanly screens out from pulp during the recycling screening process, resulting in higher quality output for new cardboard and paper production.

Avery's new premium label portfolio, Infinity Collection, debuts at the show. It offers converters and designers greater creative freedom — enabling complex die-cutting, elaborate finishings and a high-end look and feel, while ensuring reliable performance in application and use.

The company is also presenting new premium materials in the Sensorial Collection—such as Leatherlike Black, Limestone and rWood Skin—and an expanded Sustainable Collection, with an additional focus on alternative fibers to paper pulp. This includes the newly introduced lin fiber, joining existing options such as hemp fiber and cane fiber.

Advancing safety and connectivity in automotive and pharma
Avery Dennison is introducing the first Pet labels to feature chemically recycled content, especially developed for the durable goods market. These products meet the highest standards demanded by original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) while supporting sustainability goals. Functional features such as flame retardancy can be added on demand to meet compliance needs, such as for electric vehicle (EV) batteries. In addition, the labels are shown in combination with RFID technology to demonstrate how traceability and connectivity can be enabled across automotive and EV battery applications.

Avery Dennison also launches new UV barrier materials—a range of clear film pharmaceutical labels that provide a functional barrier while protecting potentially life-saving medicines from degradation caused by UV light. Traditionally, labels and packaging have been more opaque, obscuring the view of a healthcare professional conducting visual checks. This new range combines clarity and protection, without compromising performance, making it easier to see inside a vial and check the content while helping safeguard UV-sensitive medicines from deterioration and waste.

New Avery Dennison vice president and general manager, materials group EMENA, Mariana Rodriguez, commented: 'Labelexpo 2025 is a major showcase of innovation. Avery Dennison has been pioneering the labeling and packaging sector for 90 years, and in Barcelona, we will demonstrate how we are helping to address key challenges across industries, including consumer packaged goods, retail, automotive and pharmaceuticals. This milestone reflects our vision of Making Possible.'
