Flexcon marks 70th anniversary
The pressure-sensitive materials specialist celebrates seven decades of innovation and growth.
Flexcon has marked its 70th anniversary, commemorating seven decades of development in pressure-sensitive films, adhesives and functional materials since its founding by Myles McDonough in Spencer, Massachusetts, in 1956.
The family-owned company's earliest work in plastic film laminates helped reshape product design in consumer markets. Over the following decades, it expanded into advanced finishing processes, new adhesive technologies and high-performance labeling and identification materials, growing its manufacturing and distribution presence across North America, Europe and Asia.
'As we celebrate 70 proud years, we reflect on and honor the employees and partners who have shaped Flexcon into the global technology leader it is today,' said Nick Tucci, CEO of Flexcon. 'Our history, built upon the foundation established by the McDonough Family, reflects a deep commitment to solving real-world challenges through materials innovation with success for our customers at the heart of all we do.'
Flexcon has served the packaging, transportation, industrial and healthcare markets, with its most recent development being a dry biomedical electrode technology. The company enters its next chapter with operations spanning three continents and a stated focus on sustainable materials development.
