X-ident launches Gen 2 UHF inlays
X-ident technology has launched a new inlay design for the Electronic Product Code (EPC) Gen 2. The EPC Gen 2 is a UHF standard which, it is hoped, will ensure the interoperability of all RFID systems. ‘A significant number of applications are found in the supply chain and in the logistic sector where the technology will simplify the processes between manufacturer and retailer’, explains Martin Vincent, head of marketing at X-ident technology. ‘With our years of RFID experience, in particular in the US market, we are in a position to produce large numbers of EPC Gen 2 tags in the foreseeable future.’
