Labels make fruit the focal point of new packaging
French food firm Borde, a specialist wild mushroom and forest fruits in syrup processor, has updated its range of red fruits with new multilayer packaging from RPC Containers Corby featuring labels that make the fruit the focal point.

All eight varieties – raspberries, blueberries, blackcurrants, blackberries, cranberries, redcurrants, red fruits and cherries – are now packed in one-liter Classic jars from RPC Containers Corby. The jars feature a PP/EVOH/PP construction to provide product protection against oxygen ingress and give an ambient shelf life of up to 18 months, while at the same time conserving the taste, aroma and qualities of the fruit. The contact clear surface helps to maximise the on-shelf appeal of the fruits.
This is complemented by the ‘eye-catching’ and ‘clean-cut’ label design, RPC Containers Corby said, featuring a new logo.
‘We wanted a packaging solution that conveyed our heritage and expertise while creating a distinctive individual identity for our red fruits,’ said Pierre Rasse, marketing director at Borde. ‘As part of this the packs had to be attractive, practical and ensure the high quality of the fruits was protected and maintained.
‘The Classic jars have exactly met our brief to reflect the premium nature of this gourmet range.’
