Amberley Labels adds ABG Digicon Series 3
Enhanced finishing capabilities will support Amberley's expansion across premium market sectors.

Decorative label manufacturer, Amberley Labels, has further enhanced its digital print offer by investing in ABG Digicon Series 3 multi-embellishment equipment. The half-million GBP investment will support the converter’s continued growth in luxury markets.
As part of the Coveris Group, this latest investment complements Amberley’s existing digital print suite, including the narrow web Kurz DM-Jetliner with Digital Metal ink transfer technology and an HP Indigo digital suite, including 6K and Spot Master. Together, these technologies continue to drive Amberley’s expansion across premium target sectors such as beers, wines, spirits and ciders, health, beauty, personal care and fragrance.
Supporting growing demand for luxury, multi-embellishment labels, the Digicon Series 3 offers a fully integrated, single-process technology. Customer benefits include access to cold foil, hot foil, and a ‘Big Foot’ 50-ton hot foil and embossing module, along with silk screen embellishments as standard. The new line further enhances quality precision for high-value brands, offering sophisticated 3D tactile finishes, including braille.
The latest finishing capabilities also introduce new ink applications such as scratch-off, glow-in-the-dark, iridescent, photochromic and silk screen finishes, offering unprecedented design versatility. It also offers improved durability with enhanced UV and chemical resistance, a higher gloss finish on absorbent materials such as premium wine substrates, and multiple color foils applied in a single pass. Additionally, the investment supports Amberley’s No Waste model with greater speed, efficiency and the ability to print-on-demand, with further sustainable savings delivered through new rotating head foil technology.
David Richards, managing director of Amberley Labels, said: ‘Continued investment in digital capabilities places us at the forefront of technology. Our latest investment means that we now offer every single digital conversion capability available within the market, giving our customers the quality, variety, and sustainable variability to enhance their brands both on and off the shelf. Supporting further growth in luxury markets where these capabilities are required as standard, this futureproofs our print and embellishment capabilities.’
