Daesung Packing makes CI offset investment to drive its business forward in Korea
Korea’s Daesung Packing has invested in a Comexi Offset CI8 as it looks to drive its business forward and attract new customers.

Daesung Packing traditionally prints food packaging using gravure, but Comexi said it has opted for its Offset CI8 platform as it looks to boost its sales in the Korean market and attract new customers seeking high-quality printing in short runs
Comexi said its Offset CI8 press strengthens Daesung Packing’s positioning as an environmentally responsible printer, while maintaining high standards of quality ‘through a simple process very close to digital technology but with a greater production capacity’.
The Offset CI8 ordered by Daesung Packing is to be installed in a new factory, which houses a Comexi Nexus SL2 solventless laminator and a Comexi Proslit D2 double turret slitter rewinder, so allowing Daesung Packing to run a solvent-free factory.
The new plant will run on electricity produced by solar and heat-recycling devices, while geothermal energy will be used for heating system, so enabling Daesung Packing to operate its factory with only half energy consumption in comparison with other converters.
This commitment to sustainable operating is supported by ISO 14000 (environmental management), ISO 22000 (food safety management) and G7 (color management) certification.
