Nuova Gidue reports success in China

Amongst those to have made their first investment in Nuova Gidue are Shang Hai Ming Li Packaging Printing, Kunshan Funiancheng and Shen Zhen Guan Bao Products. Another new user of Nuova Gidue technology is Guang Dong Man Cheong Printing Packaging.

Shang Hai Ming Li Packaging Printing has installed a 370mm-wide, 10- color M1 UV flexo press, while Shen Zhen Guan Bao Products has installed an 8-color MX UV flexo press at its plant in Zhongshan.

Qian Xue Bin, director of Shang Hai Ming Li Packaging Printing, said: ‘Following its installation we have reached superb quality in printing with very limited maintenance and running costs.’

Suzhou Jantan Packaging & Printing is one of the existing users of Nuova Gidue technology that has chosen again to invest in its technology.

A converter based in Suzhou specialized in the production of self-adhesive labels, Suzhou Jantan Packaging & Printing has operated a Nuova Gidue E-combat, a 10-color, 370mm-wide UV flexo press. In 2010, it purchased an 11-color, 370mm-wide M5 press, and in 2011 an M1, again 370mm wide and with 10 printing stations.

Its latest investment is a further M5, with a 370mm-wide configuration and 12 printing stations.

In a joint statement, Shirley Teng and Kevin Huang of Suzhou Jantan Packaging & Printing, said: ‘Our presence in the Chinese market goes back many years, and today we are proud to say that our investments in Nuova Gidue press lines have let us reach extremely high levels in the production of some of the most sophisticated and beautiful labels we have ever seen in our country.’

Shen Zhen Long Gang Pinghu Gold Fish Printing Factory is another existing user to reinvest in Nuova Gidue technology.

Again it is a specialized producer of self-adhesive labels. It started using Nuova Gidue technology in the late 2012 with the purchase of an 8-color, 370mm-wide M3 UV flexo Press.

This has now been supplemented by a further M3 model.

Steven Fan, general director of Nuova Gidue China, said: ‘The Chinese label printing market is growing very fast, and high class flexo printing machines play more and more roles in label printing and packaging.’

Matteo Cardinotti, managing director of Nuova Gidue, said: ‘Chinese market demand for high-quality labels and packaging is growing fast – it has passed from an initial stage of reduced printing quality and high volume production of the past years, to a more sophisticated and technical advanced level.
