Finat announces winners of Label Competition

The competition attracted a total of 204 entries, with 43 companies and 24 countries from all over the world.

Finat has revealed the results of the 46th Finat Label Competition 2026. The judging of 2026’s Finat Label Competition took place under the chairmanship of Z. Murat Sipahioglu together with his fellow judges from the judges panel consisting of Steve Wood, Phil Baldwin (Bobst, UK) and Fahri Ilazi (Kocher+Beck, DE).  

The competition attracted a total of 204 entries from 43 companies and 24 countries, demonstrating its global popularity. Türkiye and Austria topped the list of countries entering with a combined total of 52 entries followed by Spain with 16 and France with 15 entries. The highest number of entries by category was led by Wines (32), Beers and Spirits (24) and with Self-promotional in third place (23). The number of entries using digital as one of their main printing processes increased slightly to 99. 

This year, the label competition took place with 11 categories in Group Marketing/End-uses, 8 categories in Group Printing Technologies, 4 categories in Group Non-Adhesive Applications and 2 categories in Group Innovation and Electronic printing. There were 140 entries in Group A, 43 entries in Group B, 20 entries in Group C and only one entry in Group D. Group Marketing/End-uses topped the amount of entries in the competition, and showed promise of a better future for the whole of the labeling community with the amount of quality reached in printing technologies and ways of using them in offering more to the industry. 

The awards ceremony, presented by Dr. Vlad Sljapic, was held on  May 27 on the occasion of the Finat European Label Forum in Sevilla, Spain. Overall, the 2026 Finat Label Competition was again a testament to the dedication of the Finat community and the high quality of label printing around the world.

The judging for the L9 World Label Awards 2026 will take place during Loupe Americas (formerly Labelexpo Americas) in Chicago between September 15-17, 2026. The best winning entries from the L9 Associations including Finat will be selected for entry into this prestigious international label competition.
