Cyngient appoints senior sales executive
Mitchell Bookbinder has more than 20 years of experience in labels and packaging.
Cyngient has appointed Mitchell Bookbinder as senior sales executive.
Bookbinder brings more than two decades of experience in the label and packaging industry, with a career rooted in the converter side of the business. His background spans label and shrink sleeve sales, business development, and customer relationship management, providing him with a deep understanding of converter operations and market demands.
Prior to joining Cyngient, Bookbinder held senior sales roles at Inovar Packaging Group and TOPP Digital Label Solutions, and also served as an account executive at 21st Century Labels & Packaging. Earlier in his career, he worked with BBF Integrated Solutions (Better Business Forms), gaining foundational experience in flexographic printing and label production. Throughout his career, he has worked extensively with private equity-backed label organizations, building long-standing relationships across the industry.
In his new role, Bookbinder will be responsible for driving sales growth, managing key accounts and developing new business opportunities across the Southeast and beyond. His territory initially includes Florida, Texas, South Carolina and Georgia, while also supporting national accounts tied to multi-location converter organizations.
Having spent most of his career on the converter side, Bookbinder says the transition to a supplier role has been smooth due to his established industry relationships.
'I’ve spent most of my career in this industry, so there’s already a strong foundation of relationships to build on,' Bookbinder said. 'That makes it a very warm introduction when working with customers. Now it’s about leveraging those relationships and helping them find the right solutions to grow their business.'
Bookbinder noted that Cyngient’s ability to deliver tailored products was a key factor in his decision to join the company.
'What stood out to me is that Cyngient isn’t a cookie-cutter company,' he said. 'They’re willing to design products specifically for a customer’s needs instead of forcing a one-size-fits-all approach. That flexibility is a huge advantage for converters.'
He also pointed to Cyngient’s product performance as a differentiator in the market. 'The whites are some of the most opaque in the industry and really make graphics pop, and the company has strong laminating adhesives and specialty coatings that solve real-world challenges,' Bookbinder added.
Andrew Wasserman, managing partner at Cyngient, said the appointment reflects the company’s continued focus on adding experienced industry professionals who understand the converter mindset.
'At Cyngient, it’s the people that make the company,' Wasserman said. 'Mitchell brings a deep understanding of the label converting business, along with strong relationships and a proven ability to grow accounts. He knows what our customers need because he’s been in their shoes.'
Wasserman added: 'His experience and approach to building partnerships align perfectly with Cyngient’s commitment to performance, collaboration and customer success as we continue to expand.'
