David Richards, managing director, Anglia Labels

Anglia Labels has appointed David Richards as managing director, effective June 1, 2026, as the Suffolk-based self-adhesive label producer looks to accelerate its growth strategy and expand investment in innovation and operational excellence.

Richards brings 26 years of experience in the label sector and joins from Amberley Labels, where he spent 13 years and most recently served as managing director. He previously held senior roles at Baker Labels, Avery Dennison and JAC Paper.

Founded more than four decades ago, Anglia Labels supplies self-adhesive labels to customers across a range of sectors and has built its business around technical expertise and a customer-focused approach.

According to Anglia Labels, the appointment represents 'an exciting new chapter' as the company continues to invest in digital printing, technical innovation and customer partnerships.

Sophy Moynagh said: ‘I am delighted to welcome David to Anglia Labels as our new managing director.

'David brings a wealth of industry knowledge and leadership experience, alongside a deep understanding of digital print, technical innovation and customer partnerships. His appointment is not a change of direction for Anglia Labels; it is an acceleration of it.

‘We share the same values around customer partnership, innovation and operational excellence, and I am looking forward to working together to build the next chapter in Anglia Labels’ 46-year history.’

Richards said he was looking forward to building on the company’s established reputation: 'Anglia Labels has built a fantastic reputation for quality, service and technical expertise, and I am looking forward to working closely with Sophy and the wider team to help drive the business forward.

‘There is a real opportunity to build on the strong foundations already in place, continue investing in innovation, and strengthen partnerships with both existing and new customers.’
