BFS Pressroom Solutions has marked its 40th anniversary in 2026, celebrating four decades of supplying pressroom consumables and engineering expertise to the UK print industry.

Founded in Reading, Berkshire in 1986 by John Hope as Business Forms Services, the company initially focused on supplying self-adhesive blankets to business forms and envelope printers. It has since grown into one of the UK's leading manufacturers of printing rollers and converters of printing blankets, serving commercial, packaging, flexographic and specialist sectors.

Key milestones over the past four decades include becoming the exclusive UK supplier of Rollin printing blankets, acquiring Tyke Rollers and securing the licence to manufacture Westland rollers in the UK. The company remains family-owned and is led by managing director Robin Hope from its head office and production facility in Haverhill.

'Over the last 40 years, the print industry has changed enormously, but the need for reliable pressroom performance has never gone away,' commented Robin Hope, managing director of BFS Pressroom Solutions. 'Our role has always been to help printers run their presses more efficiently through better consumables, engineering support and technical knowledge. Reaching this milestone is a testament to the loyalty of our customers, the support of our suppliers, and the expertise of our team, both past and present.'

BFS plans to mark the anniversary throughout 2026 while continuing to invest in engineering capability and product development.
