Cosmo First strengthens workplace safety
The ISO 45001 certification recognizes the company’s robust Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems.
Cosmo First has reinforced its commitment to workplace health and safety by achieving ISO 45001:2018 certification across key manufacturing units, including Waluj, Shendra and Karjan.
The certification recognizes the company’s robust Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems (OHSMS) and its adherence to globally benchmarked processes designed to ensure a safe and secure working environment across its manufacturing footprint.
At its Waluj manufacturing facilities (Maharashtra), the certification covers the design, development, marketing and manufacturing of a wide range of films including BOPP (multiple lines), BOPET, CPP films, along with metallizing, coating and extrusion coating processes for diverse applications. The Shendra unit (Maharashtra) is certified for the design, development, marketing and manufacturing of BOPP films through biaxial orientation processes, including metallizing, coating and extrusion coating, catering to various end-use applications. Further, the Karjan facility (Gujarat) certification covers the manufacturing of BOPP films, CPP films, along with metallizing, lamination and coating processes, further strengthening Cosmo Films’ integrated manufacturing capabilities.

ISO 45001 is an internationally recognized standard that enables organizations to proactively improve injury prevention, reduce workplace risks, and enhance overall employee well-being. The certification underscores Cosmo First’s structured approach to risk management, regulatory compliance, and safety-first culture across its manufacturing footprint.
This achievement further strengthens Cosmo First’s broader ESG commitments, where safety, sustainability, and operational excellence remain central to its long-term strategy.
The certification is valid for three years, subject to successful annual surveillance audits.
