19 apprentices join Mitsubishi HiTec Paper

19 apprentices who recently joined Mitsubishi HiTec Paper

Mitsubishi HiTec Paper has opened its door to trainees who will undergo an intensive program related to several aspects of paper production at the company’s German mills in Bielefeld and Flensburg.

Five paper technologists, three industrial mechanics, three electronics technicians, one cutting machine operator, four machine and plant operators, one IT specialist and two industrial clerks began their careers at two Mitsubishi HiTec Paper mills in Germany.

Thirteen apprentices in Bielefeld and six in Flensburg will undergo intensive training involving full-size equipment of the production lines, as well as administration and the IT offices of the German manufacturer. Trainees will also visit a medieval market to learn the traditional art of paper-making.

‘For us, training young people has been a priority for a long time,’ said Marcel Bornemann, HR administrator at the Flensburg plant. ‘We also look outside the box; for example, coming soon, we have a one-day seminar on "addiction prevention", because career and health go hand in hand.’
