AC Labels wins IPIA Best Trade Manufacturer award

UK-based variable barcode labeling specialist AC Labels was named Best Trade Manufacturer of the Year at the Independent Print Industries Association (IPIA) 2012 annual awards dinner on June 13 2012 held at Oulton Hall Hotel near Leeds.
The Derby-based company was voted as the Best Trade Manufacturer by other members of the Independent Print Industries Association, and was selected from over 50 potential nationwide candidates.
The IPIA Best Trade Manufacturer award is given to the manufacturer who has provided the most excellent service throughout the year.
General manager Peter Hartshorn explained that the award is very important to AC Labels. ‘Since becoming part of the Mercian Labels Group just two years ago, we have had to focus on our core skills, specializing in the supply of high quality pre-printed variable data and barcoded labels and tags to businesses. All the members of our small team at Derby are very proud of the service we provide and this award is recognition of the team’s dedication.
‘Over the last two years, AC Labels has understood that print management companies require specialized printers to support them in supplying their end users. They now work closely with a small number of companies like AC Labels who have been key in providing innovative cost saving solutions by working as a partner alongside the print management company.’
Jason Woodhouse, AC Labels business development manager, said: ‘The IPIA award shows everyone in the industry that we are an excellent company to work with. The award should open doors and give us an opportunity to provide cost savings for other businesses who use variable data or barcodes somewhere within their business.’
