Fusion UV Systems reports seminar success

In October Fusion UV Systems welcomed over 200 guests to one-day seminars focused on UV curing technology. With both the company’s Swiss and Austrian locations filled to capacity, attendees varied from raw material and coating suppliers to end users and machine builders.

'We see manufacturers looking for ways to produce their products with lower costs and with less environmental impact and this is driving a growing interest in UV technology. The response to the seminars clearly indicates the need in the marketplace and we appreciate the opportunity to host such a seminar with other industry experts,' noted Bernward Roettgers, general manager, Fusion UV Systems GmbH.

These seminars, the first UV seminars hosted by Fusion UV in German, follow two seminars held in 2007 in Czech Republic and Hungary. Presentations by 12 invited technical experts focused on industrial applications covering topics such as the basics of UV technology, chemistry, UV measurement and UV simulation. The program also included presentations from chemistry suppliers about plastic coating, coating of deco parts, UV screen-printing, film coating, coatings for corrosion resistance, and UV powders.
