Integration Technology and IST America announce UV LED curing conference

Following its successful Spring 2012 symposium, Integration Technology and marketing partner IST America have announced a one-day event dedicated to UV LED curing. The UV LED Curing Symposium will take place Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at the Riverway Auditorium in Rosemont, Illinois.

The move comes after ITL assisted RadTech's organizing of a two-and-a-half hour session on LED curing for its Chicago conference and exhibition. Gary Cohen, executive director for RadTech, explained: ‘It was one of the most successful sessions we had – with standing room only. There seems to be a thirst for information about UV LEDs from nearly anyone involved in UV curing.’

Presentations will focus on UV LED light sources, formulation of coatings, inks and adhesives, raw materials, UV LED measurement, system integration, market applications and an economic analysis of UV LEDs, with speakers including experts from ITL and IST as well as their industry partners.

‘An attendee, whether they are new to UV curing, or a veteran of the technology should walk away with a comprehensive understanding of the state-of-the-art in this fast growing technology,’ said Joe Ooten, vice president of sales and marketing for IST America.

Jennifer Heathcote, Integration Technology’s US general manager, added: ‘The time is right for this kind of dedicated conference. The demand for information is high, and the growing list of successful applications gives us a lot to discuss. As leader in UV technology, this symposium demonstrates our commitment to the market, and to creating a more informed group of partners and end users.’

For a fee of USD $95, attendees will be able to attend a dozen technical presentations and panel discussions. Admission covers a luncheon and networking cocktail reception that includes a table-top exhibition with hands-on demonstrations and samples of UV LED cured commercial products.
