Squid Ink installs VDP In-Line at Taylor Made Labels

Squid Ink Manufacturing, a manufacturer of inks and inkjet printing equipment, has installed its VDP In-Line variable data printing system at US converter Taylor Made Labels.
The four-head 13 inch VDP In-Line system, sold through Squid Ink’s distributor Eaglewood Technologies, was installed on an Arpeco inspection rewinder and can be moved to various platforms in the pressroom. The system is being used to print a counter on the liner of pharmaceutical labels.
Taylor Made Labels, located in Lake Oswego, Oregon, provides pressure sensitive labels to food and beverage processors and distributors, grocers and retailers, and health and beauty manufacturers.
The VDP In-Line variable data printing system prints up to 8.4 inches of any variable data like sequential numbers, sequential barcodes, traceability codes or game codes on tickets, tags and labels. The system mounts to an existing narrow web flexo press or rewind/inspection unit and prints in-line, avoiding the need to take labels off-line to print variable information with thermal transfer printers.
