Tectonic appoints Weldon as agent for India

Tectonic International has appointed Weldon Celloplast as its distributor for the company’s range of print inspection systems in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka and United Arab Emirates.
Sheila Harper Jones, managing director of Tectonic International, said: ‘Tectonics’ strategy is to invest time and technical resources in the very important Indian market which has the potential to produce and export high quality print worldwide. Tectonic products, and in particular our unique K2colour-check, not only provides excellent picture quality for print quality monitoring but also is the industry’s only, low cost print inspection system to provide color monitoring.’
With installations in more than seventy countries, Tectonic International, based in the UK, designs and manufactures a range of print inspection systems: K1, K2colour-check, Lynx and Jaguar along with a range of plate mounting machines which provide ‘hands-free’ mounting of flexo plates.
Weldon Celloplast, founded in 1982 by Harveer Singh Sahni, was one of the first companies in India to start local production of tapes and release papers as well as self-adhesive labelstocks. Weldon recently set up a separate division to be able to offer its customers international consumables as well as equipment and accessories for the Indian narrow web label printers. The new division is lead by Pawandeep Singh Sahni, operations director, and son of the founder Harveer Singh Sahni.
