Toshiba and IACS launch industrial inkjet technology center
Toshiba TEC Inkjet Business Group and Industrial Inkjet Integration and Consultancy Services (IACS) have formed a European inkjet technology center with the intention to ‘accelerate the awareness, visibility and adoption of Toshiba TEC inkjet head technology in Europe’.

IACS was founded in 2008 by Erwin Kempeneers, an inkjet engineer and technologist who lead the team that developed the world’s first industrial, single‐pass, UV‐curing, digital inkjet printing press.
He has 15 years of experience in designing and manufacturing industrial inkjet presses, and integrating inkjet technology in industrial printing applications.
Toshiba TEC's on-demand piezo electronic inkjet heads are designed for industrial applications with high-print quality. A series of heads have been released for various applications, including thin line printing and high viscosity ink printing, where circulating water is used to provide thermal control and maintain an appropriate temperature to help eject more viscous inks.
Kempeneers said: ‘Having worked with most brands of industrial inkjet heads, it is clear to me that Toshiba TEC inkjet heads are the most reliable, high performance inkjet heads worldwide. They deliver excellent print quality and consistency using a wide range of inks and virtually any industrial substrate.’
The European Toshiba TEC Inkjet Technology Centre is based in Belgium. Toshiba TEC and IACS will give a presentation at the Decorative Surfaces conference in Vienna, Austria in early April, and exhibit at Germany’s InPrint on April 8-10.
Mr Zushi, senior manager of the inkjet business group sales department at Toshiba TEC, added: ‘The Toshiba TEC Inkjet Business Group is rapidly expanding its inkjet heads business in Europe. Kempeneers’ highly‐valued experience in industrial inkjet technology will certainly reduce our customers’ product development time and risk, ensuring a highly efficient outcome for them.
‘IACS will undoubtedly accelerate the awareness, visibility and adoption of Toshiba TEC inkjet head technology in Europe.’
