UK converter installs MPS flexo press

Hamilton Adhesive Labels, a Leicestershire, UK-based converter, has marked its 20^th anniversary by investing in an MPS 8-color UV flexo press and 100 percent camera inspection system from AB Graphic.

The purchase of the press from Netherlands-based MPS is aimed at increasing the company’s presence in the cosmetic, toiletry and healthcare markets.

Chris Marsh, managing director and founder of Hamilton Adhesive Labels, said: ‘Customers have been asking for this service for some time and now that we have it, we envisage a significant growth in orders that will enable the new press to return on its own investment very soon.

‘The cosmetics, toiletry and healthcare markets work heavily on synthetic materials such as clear on clear substrates, polypropylene and polyethylene and our new press is ahead of its time in this area, which will provide us with a real USP for further market growth.’

Operating from a 25,000 square foot manufacturing facility, Hamilton Adhesive Labels currently manufactures adhesive labels primarily for the food, logistics and beverage sectors for brands such as Bakkavor Food Group, DHL and The Samworth Group.
